[A little bit under an hour later, Bucky is gently knocking on her door, making sure she can hear him without being too loud to spare her the aggravation for her headache:]
Barb? You up? [he asks through the door.
He's picked her up some greasy breakfast sandwich and a sugary kind of coffee drink, as well as lots of Gatorade and painkillers for her head.]
[ sleep....doesn't really happen. she drags herself out of bed, showers and brushes her teeth, and makes an effort to look halfway normal. makeup is too much to ask of herself, but she's at least changed out of her pajamas and put on a t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants by the time she opens the door, looking happy to see him even if she's keenly aware of her brain throbbing in her skull.
she's never had a hangover before, and if they're all like this, she's never going to drink that much again.]
Hey, come on in.
[ she leans forward without thinking, offering him a one-armed hug to keep him from dropping the food in the other.]
for @flatfeet
Maybe I was. In my defence, I was smiling because you seemed to be having fun, so. Your smile is contagious.
Yeah, I'm sure. I gotta pick up some food for myself anyway. We can make it a date.
A friendly date I mean.
A neighbourly date?
IDK, I can just drop it off if you don't want company.
[Way to look eager there, Barnes.]

Actually, I'd really like to see you if you don't mind.

I don't mind! I'll be there in about 45 minutes? Try to take a nap maybe while waiting, it might help with the pounding headache.

I'll try, see you soon.
