History: Wiki link

Personality:
Positive Trait: Loyal: Despite all of the walls he's put up to keep most people at bay, and even though he is a generally quiet and brooding individual, Bucky has one thing that hasn't changed in all of his life: his loyalty to his friends. Getting him to trust someone might be hard, but once he does, he will be ready to fight for them. The best example is how his friendship with Steve Rogers transcended time and even all of his brainwashing under HYDRA as the Winter Soldier. It was Steve who pulled him out of his brainwashing state by reminding him how they were close, and how Bucky would have gone to the end of the line with him. Even before his brainwashing, when Steve Rogers first became Captain America and formed the Howling Commandos, Bucky mentioned that it wasn't Captain America that he would follow, but his childhood friend Steve Rogers instead.

This trait is also seen beyond his friendship with Captain America. After spending some time in Wakanda, Bucky doesn't question the need for him to join the fight when King T'Challa presents him with a new vibranium arm. His loyalty to the people who welcomed him and freed him from his trigger words is enough for him to help out against Thanos. Even later on, when Steve passes the shield to Sam Wilson, Bucky is ready to join him to help out against the Flag Smashers without any doubts, lending him his help and encouragement to take on the mantle of Captain America.

Top Negative Trait: Self-loathing: Even if he had been brainwashed and unable to stop himself or to choose for himself, Bucky feels a lot of guilt and shame from all the violence he perpetrated as the Winter Soldier. That guilt and shame are deeply intertwined with the sense of self-loathing Bucky has. As shown in Captain America: Civil War, Bucky doesn't believe he is worthy of redemption, mentioning to Steve that he doesn't deserve all the trouble Steve and his friends got into for saving him in Berlin. Later on, he doesn't argue with Baron Zemo when the man mentions how everyone who got the Super Soldier serum turned into their worst persona, underlying how Bucky thinks he still is a bad person within. He also chooses to give the Captain America shield back to Sam after they both managed to take it away from John Walker, showing how he still thinks he doesn't deserve the shield, just as Walker didn't either. When talking to Sam about how he is getting to remember both sets of memories (his own and those of the Winter Soldier), it becomes clear that he still fears becoming a mindless assassin again and that he despises that part of him. It even shows in how he fights, often pulling his punches so that he doesn't kill people, as if tapping into his Winter Soldier training will reawaken that part of him and prove to everyone that he's a true villain.

This self-loathing fuels his remorseful side, and Bucky found that making amends to the people the Winter Soldier hurt is something he can do to help with the feeling.

Negative Trait: Distrustful: Because he's been brainwashed and manipulated for decades to do the bidding of literal Nazis, Bucky has a really hard time trusting people he doesn't know. This causes him to tend to push people away. In the Disney+ series, Bucky is seen not having close friends despite having saved the world with the Avengers, and not keeping in touch with Sam despite Wilson trying to reach out to him. He also doesn't trust his therapist, not telling her the truth about his nightmares, and even when he finally talks about them to Sam, it takes a long time for him to, despite trusting Sam. This distrust of people is also why he doesn't tell people who he used to be in the past, not wanting to scare them, but also not trusting they will be able to see past his Winter Soldier side. That causes him to hide his vibranium arm in his everyday life, so that he's not recognized. His distrust of people, coupled with his self-hatred and the fact that he believes he could be a danger to others, tends to make him more of a loner and introverted than he used to be in his youth.

Negative Trait: Stubborn: Even from his youth, Bucky has always been stubborn. Back in the 1940s, he kept on trying to dissuade Steve from enlisting in the army, even if he knew how Steve wanted to contribute to the war effort. Even as the Winter Soldier, his stubbornness leaked through the cracks of his brainwashing when he fought Steve in Washington: he kept asking his handlers how he knew Steve, even if disobeying would result in physical punishment. Later on, he chose to help out Sam with the Flag Smashers even though Wilson didn't ask for his help, stubbornly staying around to help and protect him. He even kept on reminding Sam how he should have kept the shield, showing that it's hard for Bucky to let go of something, even when someone asks him to drop the subject entirely. He even went as far as breaking Baron Zemo out of prison, even if Sam told him it was a bad idea, because he believed the man could help them find where the Super Soldier serum was coming from. He stuck to his idea, even if it put his relationship with Wakanda at odds.

Powers and Abilities: (From his wiki link)

Artificially Enhanced Physiology: Because of the Super Soldier serum Bucky received as a HYDRA prisoner, he now has enhanced strength, durability, speed, agility, stamina and reflexes. He also benefits from a certain degree of healing generation factor, and his aging has slowed down because of this.

Cybernetic Enhancement: Bucky's left arm is a vibranium prosthetic, gifted by the King of Wakanda. The arm is nearly indestructible, absorbs vibration like the Black Panther suit, and adds to his super strength if needed.

Master Assassin skills: As the Winter Soldier, Bucky has received extensive training to turn him into an almost perfect killing machine. He has mastery of hand-to-hand combat training, with knives being his favoured weapon. Bucky also has excellent marksmanship, something he was already proficient in during WWII. He has flight training in a variety of planes/helicopters/jets. He also knows numerous languages, including Russian, German, Romanian, Japanese, and Xhosa.

Inventory:

1) One set of combat knives
2) The gun he used in Madripoor, but no bullets
3) Assuming he's coming in civilian clothes, his suit from the series
