Goals: One of Bucky's goals in canon is to find his way back to some sort of normal life after spending most of his life as the Winter Soldier, a brainwashed living weapon that served HYDRA. He's been pardoned for those crimes since he wasn't in control of his actions, he's graduated from his court-mandated therapy sessions and has completed his list of amends, giving closure to people he's wronged as the Winter Soldier. Bucky is ready to start this new part of his life as a semi-normal civilian. Part of this goal includes learning to trust people again, and foster good friendships, like the one he shares with Sam Wilson. This is something that will certainly translate in this new world as he learns to define who he is on his own.
Morals: Bucky is considered to have good morals: ever since escaping HYDRA, he's been trying to make the world a better place, whether by stopping a dangerous man from activating the other Winter Soldiers, to fighting Thanos, to helping out Sam Wilson in stopping a group of terrorists trying to disrupt the process of welcoming back half of the universe five years after being snapped out of existence by Thanos. On his own, he's been trying to stop the bad people he's enabled when he was the Winter Soldier, finding ways to have them arrested for their crimes. While his morals are good, he is however the kind of person that the means justify the end. He was ready to take the shield back from John Walker even before Sam was ready for it too, and he had no qualms in breaking Helmut Zemo out of prison to get a lead on the new Super Soldier Serum.
Struggles: Bucky struggles a lot with his self-worth. Even with all the therapy he's gone through, it's still hard for him to see past his deeds as the Winter Soldier. Throughout the 'Falcon and Winter Soldier' series, Bucky never argues how the Super Soldier Serum hasn't corrupted him ever since being deprogrammed, even if he shows strong morals, meaning that he does agree with the sentiment somehow. At the end of the series, when people thank him for saving them, he's clearly surprised by their gratefulness, which shows that he didn't expect it, or feel like he may deserve it despite his deeds. He tries to reason with Karly Morgenthau, the leader of the terrorists, letting her know that she'll regret the path of violence she's choosing (something he's also told John Walker, the new Captain America), hinting at how he still struggles to accept the fact that the murders he committed as the Winter Soldier were not his own choice and that he bears no responsibilities for them.
Position: Professor in the Linguistics department [German 101(F) and 201(W), Russian 101(F) and 201(W), Conversational Romanian 301 (optional course)(F)]
Explanation: In the MCU, Winter Soldiers are taught many languages as part of their training (believed to be up to 30 different languages) and there are instances in canon where Bucky demonstrates fluency in many of them. German, Russian and Romanian are three of those languages, and they all have different bases as individual languages that could be interesting for students to learn. Also, Bucky was involved in training the new Winter Soldiers in the early 1990s (and there are hints in canon that he might have been involved in training some of the Widows in the Red Room), which means he does have aptitudes for teaching.
